Résumé

[en] The medieval landscape in Sweden as in much in Europe was a cultural landscape. It was shaped by agriculture and most of the ecosystems were greatly influenced by human activities. When the human activity was drastically reduced after the Black Death, and also when those who survived developed new strategies, we may expect environmental conseuqences. In fact, any-large scale change in society during the Middle Ages is likely to have resulted in changes in the environment, particularly in the vegetation.
